Abstract

On July 27, 2012 was published in the OJUE Regulation nº 650/2012 EU on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of decisions and acceptance and enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession. This instrument will displace autonomous Private International Law rules of the EU’s Member States, introducing important modifications in our legal system. In this work, there is a succinct analysis of the evolution that the conflicts of jurisdictions rules have had along the whole normative process and of how they have been finally integrated in the new Regulation.
